Yard Crew Member

**This position is perfect for someone who loves to work outdoors, has past outdoor general labour experience and is not afraid of getting dirty Previous marine experience/shrink wrapping of boats an asset.**

**Position Overview**:
Yard Crew staff are responsible for all docks, buildings, equipment and maintenance activities on the property. Seasonal duties include Spring Launch, Fall Haul-outs, blocking and trailering of boats of all sizes, shrink wrapping, shrink wrap removal, buffing & waxing, power-washing and acid washes.

**Essential Job Functions**

Friendly and professional customer service

Present a comfortable and hospitable surrounding for patrons

Watch for and alert people of dangerous situations

Maintain docks, harbour area, restrooms and shower facilities

Work outside in all weather conditions

Remove shrink wrap in the Spring, Shrink wrap boats in the Fall

Bottom painting boats

Bilge cleaning

Perform power washing, acid washes, buffing and waxing of boats

Supporting all launch and haul out activities

Trailer and Block boats of all sizes

Cutting grass, grounds maintenance and recommissioning water systems

Assisting with general marina operations

Experience with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and welding is an asset

Carry out any other duties that may be requested as necessary

**Other Skills and Abilities**:
Boat handling skills and knowledge of nautical terminology or the ability to learn quickly is an asset

Comprehension and continual practice of health and safety standards

Experience with yard & maintenance equipment

Forklift experience is an asset

Heavy equipment experience is an asset

Work as a team player

Able to work 5 days a week including weekends

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
