**Job Description**:
The Human Resources Team partners with the leaders of our organization to provide support with employment legislation compliance, employee and labour relations, recruiting and retaining top talent, performance management and training with the focus of meeting and exceeding goals and expectations set by senior leadership. Our team researches, plans, develops, implements and evaluates best practice Human Resources and organizational strategies. As needed, data is analyzed, prepared, and presented to the leadership and senior leadership team to support business functions.

Generally Human Resources (HR) Analysts are responsible for providing critical analysis and evaluation to support the operations of RVH in line with HR leading practices, HR systems and processes. The incumbent in this role will utilize research ability and innovation to identify and build on areas of improvement to support business goals. Analysts also provide data and analysis to support higher level decision making for Leadership. HR Analysts research, plan, develop, implement and evaluate best practice Human Resources and business strategies and make recommendations to improve current practice.

The Analyst role also supports other areas of HR including but not limited to policy development, compensation and benefits, through researching, planning, developing, implementing and evaluating best practice human resources and business strategies to makes recommendations on improving current practice.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Provide support to various levels of the organization in all aspects of talent acquisition and retention through acting as a change agent, championing future-focused initiatives and proactively contributing to the talent acquisition operating model
- Leverage comprehensive HR background to interact with and advise all levels of the leadership team.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify HR research areas and initiatives to achieve organizational objectives though expertise, data, trend analysis, updates, and recommendations.
- Influence leaders on suggested actions, and creatively resolve problems by identifying alternatives.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and produce reports for HR operations, including preparing and distributing quarterly and annual reports and participating in benchmarking surveys
- Analyze business workflows, conduct best practice research, prepare organizational and compensation reviews and develop reports and presentations for hospital leadership to enhance current processes and practices.
- Provide analytical and data support to management in negotiations of local collective agreements and other HR processes.
- Conduct research to determine efficiency and effectiveness of HR policies and programs.
- Follow project management and Lean methodologies.
- Design and deliver best-in-class practices and programs for talent acquisition at RVH.
- Identifies trends and patterns through data analysis and develops recommendations to support business objectives. Develops and implements solutions for reporting, analyzing and presenting data to the organization.
- Lead and/or support HR audits, system implementations and program research and analysis.
- Collaborate to gather and validate systems requirements based on health centre and department needs, as well as evaluate and prepare system optimizations.
- Ensure talent acquisition systems meet all data privacy, compliance and regulations.
- Act as bridge between HR and third-party vendors, ensuring technical, processes and systems are optimized common understanding and alignment on data project requirements, conveying requirements with clarity and precision
- Build consensus on operational and technical decisions, while delivering high quality results. Increase the productivity of internal teams by suggesting design and workflow improvements and fixes as it relates to talent acquisition.
- In collaboration with the HR team facilitate, coordinate and support the implementation of educational in-services and continuing education programming.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field
- Completion of a professional development program in Human Resources
- Member in good standing of a HRPA an asset
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is an asset
- Certificate in HR Data Analytics is an asset
- At least five years of human resources experience
- Experience with research and analysis regarding recruitment industry best practices associated with recruitment efficiency, talent attraction, social media initiatives, operational measurements, and performing regular competitor analyses.
- HR analytics experience, with a focus on human resources and talent acquisition data, including report development (using a reporting tool) and a comprehensive understanding of data collection, interpretation and measurement to support higher level decision making.
