Job Description:

- Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment in a service oriented gas compression environment
- Responsible for the maintenance and overhaul work in the natural gas compression and EPG industry in the field.
- Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs, maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments.
- Interface with customers, products and sales support
- Working with the supervisor on various tasks
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Various related duties as required

Qualifications:

- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- Journeyperson Certification in Mechanic, Electrician, Millwright and Automotive may also be considered
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment
- Previous field service experience and experience with natural gas engines and compressors
- Gas Compression and Well Servicing experience will be preferred and recognized as an asset
- Non-Caterpillar experience such as Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins etc is recognized as an asset
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Completion, or in the process of completing all Finning S- level courses
- Self-motivated and computer literate
- Experience with Costwatcher, DBS, SIS and Warranty Systems as well as a good understanding of Finning systems, would all be assets
- Ability to work safely with mínimal supervision

Note:

- This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift
- Shift work may be required in the future
- Occasional out of town work is required
- A recent driver’s abstract is required
- The ability to wear a respirator and be fit tested is required
