Pacificom is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Technician to join and help further grow our Telecommunications Team. The position will focus on building new Telecommunications, Sound, and Life Safety installations for corporate, government, and educational sectors.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the installation and servicing of new telecommunications systems such as IP-based Telephone Systems (Unified Communications) and IP-Based Public Address Systems including pre-wiring, installation, termination, programming, and commissioning per project requirements and industry standards.
- Lead the installation of life safety systems such as such as Nurse Call / Emergency Call and Patient Wandering in all types of healthcare environments including pre-wiring, installation, termination, programming, and commissioning per project requirements and industry standards.
- Work closely with our design team to create installation plans to achieve project objectives, including reading and interpreting system diagrams and construction drawings.
- Keep current with new products and developments in the industry by attending shows, conferences and training seminars
- Perform service calls after a completed installation to modify/maintain any and all installed equipment, you may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled hours or days.

**Area of Work**
- Based in Metro Vancouver area, but up to 25% of work may be out of town throughout rest of B.C.

**Desired Skills and Experience**

Basic
- 5 years+ experience, preferably in electrical or communications/security sector
- Read and understand construction drawings
- Post-Secondary Education in a trade school or program
- Resident of Canada
- Able to work independently on a jobsite or as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excited and interested in designing/building complex integrated solutions that encompass many separate aspects of technology into one cohesive system
- Fluent in English
- Class 5 Driver License

Advanced
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Network design and/or programming experience in the telecommunication industry dealing with VoIP and IP Protocols
- Security Worker License
