Kore is presently looking for a motivated, experienced Service Technician to join their team. The service technician will cover the Sea to Sky region, Vancouver to Squamish, and potentially Whistler.

The Service Technician should have the following combination of technical skills, physical abilities, and customer service skills that would align with the job duties and responsibilities.

**Qualifications and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Landscape Irrigation & lighting Service Technician
- At least 2 years of experience in repairing and troubleshooting irrigation & lighting systems.
- **You should have at least 2 -3 years of general irrigation experience and a minimum of 1 year of service experience for this role.**:

- Excellent attention to detail and focus on a high level of workmanship.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, and Time management skills to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Great skills to diagnose issues with irrigation systems and determine the most effective solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certified Irrigation Technician Level 1 & Ideally level 2
- A Certified Irrigation Scheduler would be an asset.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems including pumps, pipes, sprinklers, and electrical wiring plumbing, as the technician will often need to connect systems to water supplies.
- Technical knowledge of irrigation & low-voltage lighting systems, including the ability to install, repairer, and maintain these systems.
- Knowledge of relevant local codes and regulations and of water conservation practices and methods to create sustainable irrigation solutions.
- Skills such as problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are also important.
- Physical abilities that allow them to perform labor-intensive tasks, such as digging and lifting heavy equipment. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including working in varying weather conditions.
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients, understanding their irrigation needs, and providing appropriate solutions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certified backflow testing certificate is preferred.

**Responsibilities**
- Install and repair irrigation & low-voltage lighting systems as required.
- Conduct regular maintenance on irrigation systems and troubleshoot and repair problems with irrigation systems including leaks, valve or wiring issues
- Perform system upgrades or expansions as necessary
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and regulations
- Consult with clients on irrigation solutions, including system design and water usage
- Operate power and hand tools safely, be safety-conscious, and adhere to all workplace safety rules and regulations.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Programming and adjusting timers and water schedules to ensure maximum water efficiency.
- Knowledge and understanding of plant water needs and local water regulations to optimize the use of water resources.
- The Service Irrigation Technician’s responsibilities will be to conduct backflow tests to ensure the safety and quality of the water supply.
- Will educate clients on the correct use and maintenance of their irrigation systems, promoting sustainable and efficient water use.
- In the event of system failures or malfunctions, the Service Technician is responsible for identifying the problem, recommending a solution, and performing the necessary repairs or adjustments.

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
- Wage range: $27.00 - $40+ / hour, plus OT
- Year-end bonus

- Technicians are supported by an office staff who schedule calls, collect client payments, and handle customer service issues.

**Job Title**: Landscape Irrigation & Lighting Service Technician

**Work Environment**: Mostly outdoor work in various weather conditions. Technicians travel from site to site all day, every day.

**Reporting Structure**: Reports to the Irrigation Manager.

**Pay Range**:Wage range: $27 - $40 / hour. Plus, OT
