**Job Description**:
This Laboratory Operations Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the SGS Life Science laboratory operations. Responsibilities include multi-tasking to meet the departmental needs of working with laboratory personnel, laboratory managers, material management, supervisors and clients on a regular basis. Assisting Laboratory Operations Manager with smooth running of the lab operations on a day to day basis:

- Assist with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) review of laboratory documentation to verify and check accuracy of sample information, test method type, specification and other specific information pertaining to client samples and laboratory testing
- Entering the sample, reference standard or reagent information into LIMS as per relevant SGS procedures
- LIMS admin support i.e. revision of CofA and RofA and request LIMS set up
- Verification of testing work instructions
- Communicate and seek resolve with relevant stakeholders for any discrepancies during laboratory documentation review
- GDP and GMP compliance and adherence to safe practices on site
- Delivering samples into appropriate testing and storage locations
- Delivering laboratory documentation to appropriate departments as required
- Coordination of samples and laboratory supplies between material management and laboratory operations.
- Placing samples and materials into assigned storage locations and maintaining accurate storage locations or samples, reagents and standards in LIMS.
- Coordinating and following up with laboratories regarding sample, reagents, standards and testing information.
- Assisting in maintenance and organization of laboratory areas, 5S and housekeeping
- Coordinating with material management for the control, archiving, coordination and/or retention of samples as per SGS LSS guidelines
- Participates in department meetings pertaining to standards and processes
- Performing any other duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required in a timely and professional manner

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of a undergraduate degree or equivalent or a college diploma with relevant experience.
- A post-secondary education in a recognized administration program would be an asset.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a lab related or or technical role required.
- GMP/GDP knowledge and experience is desired
- Experience in computer programs e.g. Excel and Word.
- Participate in departmental or company-wide projects to improve the internal efficiency and overall quality of work performed by the laboratory.
- Able to work well under pressure during high (peak) work loads.
- Extended hours may be required.
- Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
