**ACP Applied Products**, a division of **Canadian Road Builders Inc.**, is a dynamic company of experienced engineers, applied product installers and sales staff, all with a firm commitment to quality in products and services in regard of pavement preservation and performance product. The Construction Division offers services to the road construction/road maintenance industry that include: installation of roadside barriers (guardrail and high tension cable barrier), permanent and temporary highway sign installation, bridge deck waterproofing, crack sealing (hot pour/rout and seal and cold pour), spray patching, installation of roadside delineation devices, and temporary traffic control services.
**Job Summary**:
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Communicate job specifics to a crew of 2-15 people including drivers, operators, labourers, and flagpersons.
- Assign tasks to crew members on a daily basis and follow up to ensure quality and workmanship standards are met.
- Ensure crew compliance with project requirements.
- Know and understand the requirements of OHSA regulation.
- Complete or facilitate mandatory safety tool box meetings and/or field level hazard assessments.
- Enforce vehicle pre-trips or completed as required and log books are properly used when necessary.
- Coordinate with the safety department on issues such as injuries, equipment incidents or near misses, and complete WCB reports as needed.
- Other duties as determined by the Shop Foreman.
**Qualifications**:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and current drivers abstract, Class 3 license is considered an asset.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the road construction industry.
- Proficiency in basic equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of local general construction specifications and best practices.
- Knowledge of basic business communication etiquette.
**Working Conditions**:
- Travel as required.
- Overtime as required.
- Use of personal protection equipment is required.
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements.
- Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
- Driving long distances unaccompanied.
