Hazelwood House is a Not-for-Profit Organization that provides in person day programming for individuals (18+) with developmental disabilities in a safe and inclusive environment. The Hazelwood House day program runs Monday-Friday from 9:00am - 4:00pm, providing support with a 3:1 participant to staff ratio.

Our programming is developed around the interests and needs of registered participants, providing both a socially and community active day program that has participants looking forward to each day

LIFE & SOCIAL SKILLS ACTIVITIES: Transport Training, Grocery Shopping, Cooking Class, Cleaning, Gardening, Etc.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT ACTIVITIES: Volunteer Placements, Community Giving, Shopping at Local Markets, Etc.

LEISURE & RECREATION: Yoga, Zumba, Hikes, Playing Sports, Arts & Crafts/DIY Projects, Swimming, Bowling, Horseback Riding, Music Class, Etc.

**Job Description**:

- Supervise participants throughout all programmed activities
- Maintain safety and security of all participants
- Ensure that a 1:3 ratio is kept at all times
- Always maintain an open dialogue with parents, guardians and co workers
- Complete attendance (sign in/sign out)
- Complete all paperwork (incident reports, behavioural logs, communication logs, etc.) as required
- Adhere to confidentiality agreements
- Prep materials required for daily programming as directed
- Covid-19 Screening all staff and clients

Administrative Duties:

- Ensure the appropriate paperwork is completed

Expectations:

- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and debriefings
- Arrive on time for your shift(s)
- Give as much notice as possible if unable to make a shift
- Come dressed in comfortable, appropriate attire
- Remain calm and professional when dealing with parents, guardians and members of the public

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
