Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate Support Workers to provide care and assistance to individuals in need. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those under your care.

**Duties**:

- Provide personal care and support to individuals in home care environment
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living such as:

- Bathing/showering
- Dressing, grooming, oral care
- Toileting & pericare
- Ambulation
- Transferring with 1 person assist from bed to chair or from chair to bed
- Assist with feeding meals according to dietary requirements
- IADL’s (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living)
- Transporting
- Light housekeeping duties (vacuuming, washing dishes, and laundry)
- Leisure & other activities
- Financial Management
- Shopping for groceries
- Making a phone call
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Offer emotional support and companionship to individuals in your care

Qualifications:

- Experience or certification in caregiving, senior care, or related fields
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus
- Ability to provide patient-centered care with compassion, empathy and respect
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and their families
- Multilingual care providers to match family and client culturally and linguistically
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team

**Conditions of Employment**
- **Possess a valid driver’s licence and vehicle**:

- Possess valid vehicle insurance.
- Must provide a clean Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Must provide a valid First Aid/CPR Level C certificate.
- COVID 19 Vaccination and immunization record
- Negative TB test (step 1 and 2)

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
