The Contract Management Office is actively seeking an experienced Engineer who has a creative, and strategic mindset to lead and manage staff responsible for providing ongoing support to the ministry's contract management for Construction Contract Administration.

**Contract Management Office**
The Contract Management Office is responsible for: administration of the contractual agreements with service providers for the design and construction of the provincial highway network, pre-qualifying contractors for bidding on construction and maintenance projects, finalizing and distributing the contract documents to potential bidders, preparing estimates for the work, receives the bids and awards the work, developing contract administration guidelines and automated tools for the effective management of planning, design and contract administration consultant assignments, as well as for the oversight of construction contracts.

Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team towards the achievement of their business goals. You will contribute to the achievement of team goals by:

- Providing leadership and direction for section staff and projects, including setting objectives and priorities and preparing operational and work plans.
- Providing guidance, direction and advice related to the effective delivery, oversight and administration of highway construction and engineering, contact administration
- Managing the development and implementation of policies and processes that will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of construction and engineering contract administration.
- Liaising with and building and maintaining collaborative partnerships external stakeholders
- Participating with ministry executives in formulating policies, strategic plans and program direction to further government/ministry corporate strategies and goals.

- You are a current member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).

**Leadership and Project Management Skills**:

- You have experience fostering an environment of high performance, learning, growth and continuous improvement.
- You have experience motivating and inspiring staff to achieve results in a rapidly changing environment.
- You can develop, build and lead organizational capacity through values based leadership in areas of organizational design, recruitment, talent and performance management
