JOB TITLE: Membership Consultant

**SUMMARY**:
The BC Career Colleges Association (BCCCA) is looking for a skilled part-time new member sales
consultant. This position is being created as a 3-6 months contract position, only required approximately
10 hours of work per week and can be performed completely remotely from your home. This is ideal for
stay-at-home parents who want a part-time, flexible position working for a worthy cause.

BCCCA has been in existence for over 55 years and is the only advocacy and representative organization
for all private post-secondary colleges and institutions in the province. For more information on BCCCA,

This position will work directly with the CEO and Administrator of BCCCA and the Director of Members
(board member) to bring new members to the organization and if successful, has potential to become a
more permanent position.

**Salary**: 100% Commission; potential to make approximately $16,500 (total) working ten hours per week
for 3-6 months.

Location: Anywhere in B.C., this is a remote position
Hours per Week: approx. 10 hours per week. Hours can be performed anytime between 9am and 5pm,
Monday - Friday

Reports to: CEO of BCCCA, Michael Evans, and the Director of Membership (board member), Ben Colling

**Job Description**:
1. Work with administration and board members from BCCCA to create value propositions for non
- member post-secondary institutions located in B.C. to join BCCCA as members.
2. Target private post-secondary institutions in B.C. to join the industry’s association, BCCCA and build
out a prospect list with the assistance of administration.
3. Make direct contact with potential member leadership teams to arrange for professional
informational meetings, helping others to understand the benefits of joining BCCCA.
4. Help position BCCCA benefits to potential members and overcome any concerns of joining (e.g.,
cost concerns, time concerns, etc.).
5. Relay payment options and complete all new member documentation. Hand off new member care
skillfully to BCCCA administration.
6. Help create new members orientations in conjunction with BCCCA administration.
7. Potential for the position to be ongoing and to grow into a more permanent sales and marketing
position for BCCCA.
Job Requirements:
A Bachelors degree or equivalent
5-10 (or more) years of work experience in B.C.

Knowledge of the post-secondary education industry in B.C.
Autonomous, able to take initiative while adhering to all policies and procedures of BCCCA.
Ability to work collaboratively with all members of organizations (leaders, front-line employees,
etc., owners, etc.).
Trustworthy and reliable
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Technological know-how (MS Office, etc.)
Relationship sales experience
Professional and polite demeanour
Excellent work ethic
Flexibility
