**Responsibilities**
Develop and implement continuous process and efficiency improvements required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for authorizations
- Obtain complex authorizations for Air Canada's Passenger and Cargo flight schedules including codeshare schedules with civil aviation authorities across our network
- Prepare and submit reports on Air Canada's operations required by applicable regulatory agencies
- Prepare, file and track charter flight requirements for Air Canada including Air Canada Jetz/Air Canada Cargo operations
Oversee, track and communicate internally the status of approvals as part of a holistic authorization process with all Air Canada departments
- Document and keep updated the required approval process and responsible authority contacts
- Support urgent operational requirements for different business units (i.e. Flight Ops, Cargo, SOC, Legal, Network Planning, Revenue Management) to ensure regulatory requirements with foreign regulators
Communicate internally to affected groups, any conditions of authorization obtained, including health related requirements for pax and crew and ensure respective conditions and ongoing compliance requirements are met
- Support flight ops and other regulatory groups when necessary, in areas such as flight plan approvals, FAOCs, insurance certificates, aircraft registration or other requirements of the authorization process
- Work with the commercial and operational branches and immediate manager to resolve any authorization roadblocks related to operating permits and/or aircraft authorizations
- Perform other related duties or assignments as required

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 3 - 5 years relevant experience
- Strong understanding of airline industry
- Excellent communication and speaking/writing skills in both French and English
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; detail oriented
- Comfortable dealing with internal and external parties at all levels
- Good research, analysis and problem-solving skills
- Must have advanced level skills in MS Word & Excel
- Exposure to legal and/or regulatory environment is an asset
