As a member of SPG’s consulting team, the **Technical Services Manager **will be supporting clients in developing and executing capital plans with the goal of improving facility operations and reducing carbon emissions. You will have the opportunity to support and advise the ownership team on developing and executing building strategies.

Though the primary objectives are technical in nature, you will be supported by a team of specialists making your role heavily focused on client management; exceptional interpersonal skills are essential. The role is as an SPG employee, but it will focus heavily on a specific client account in the multi-unit residential space. There is flexibility from week to week on work location, but it will involve a mix between the SPG Calgary office, our client’s Calgary office and from home.

**Overview of Tasks**:
**Capital Planning**:

- Develop and manage capital plans for multiple multi-unit residential buildings across Alberta
- Execute all capital projects for each building within the given capital year. More specifically, develop, budget, plan for-, obtain bids for-, obtain approval for-, kickoff, actively manage, report on, and close out all projects.

**Client Management**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client in the multi-unit residential space
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Understand and anticipate client needs to provide tailored solutions

**Construction Oversight**:

- Supervise construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders for seamless project execution

**Team Coordination**:

- Work with a team of SPG’s technical specialists, ensuring everyone is aligned with project goals
- Facilitate collaboration between team members to achieve high-quality outcomes

**Energy Efficiency & GHG Reduction**:

- Focus on energy management practices aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
- Implement energy-efficient technologies and practices across managed properties

**Liaison Duties**:

- Act as a liaison between the asset management team, property team, operations team, SPG, and the client.
- Facilitate clear communication channels among all parties involved in projects

**Technology Deployment**:

- Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to property management
- Evaluate new systems for potential deployment within managed properties

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day interactions with clients ensuring their satisfaction
- Develop comprehensive capital plans aligning them with organizational goals
- Act as an intermediary facilitating communication and coordination among teams and stakeholders
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects managing resources effectively and meeting deadlines
- Oversee base building systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards
- Implement maintenance strategies to prolong system lifespan and efficiency
- Time tracking and documentation
- Travel is required

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
