Stress Engineering Services Canada (SESC) is a Calgary, Alberta-based engineering consulting service specializing in stress analysis, fitness for service, and mechanical testing. Stress Engineering Services Inc. (Houston, Texas) owns Stress Engineering Services Canada and together, we address the challenging technical problems presented to us by our clients who operate in varied industries. Overall, the company is 300 employees strong and consists of like-minded engineers with advanced technical degrees and a wide range of industrial experience.
**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Participate and be fully engaged in the day-to-day operations of a growing consulting engineering firm.
- Actively manage and coordinate in-house technical projects using a team of engineers to meet client expectations, budget, and deadlines. This work would include field supervision if required.
- Understand the technical aspects of projects to guide a technical team and provide critical quality control and milestones as the project progresses.
- Provide leadership, training, and direction to our technical staff.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of technical reports and proposals.
- Participate in the company's growth through liaison and technical/capability presentations to current and potential clients.
- Field visits to facilities to discuss client-identified problems and to support business development.
- Familiarity with industry codes, including CSA, ASME, and API, is beneficial.
