Impala Canada is the owner and operator of the Lac des Iles Mine, located 90 minutes northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. In operation for 30 years, the LDI Mine is one of only two known pure palladium sources in North America. Palladium contributes to a cleaner global environment, with its leading use in catalytic converters that reduce harmful emissions from gas-powered and hybrid vehicles.

The LDI Mine features a unique, ore body and modern infrastructure, including underground and surface mining and milling operations. The LDI Mine is in Robinson-Superior Treaty territory, and the land on which we operate is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg and the Me´tis. **Mine Development Trainer #124-2024**

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in compliance with OHSA and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants and all applicable legislation
- Work in compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures
- Follow MTCU compliance and guidelines
- Train co-workers/peer trainers at the request of Senior Management
- Train co-workers/peer trainers with respect and patience, following company lesson plans and guidelines
- Ensure trainees are able to perform the task(s) and are competent against the appropriate module
- Complete and retain all pertinent documentation required
- Manage and audit appropriate aspects of training department
- Develop lesson plans for use throughout the mine site
- Maintain and promote 100% commitment to Safety in all daily activities

**Qualifications**
- Underground mining experience minimum 8 years
- Comfortable presenting in a group setting
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point
- Possess Train the Trainer certification. Advanced Train the Trainer considered an asset
- Aptitude for creating and maintaining a good work atmosphere and motivating employees

The position offers a competitive remuneration package consisting of base salary, health & medical insurance, retirement savings plan and travel allowance.
