**As the HR Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing all Talent Acquisition and HR functions at our Vancouver office.**
**About This Role**:
- Full time, permanent position at our Vancouver location.
- Hybrid (4-days in office, 1 day work from home).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Recruitment and Hiring (60%)**:
- Manages the full life cycle recruiting programs for our Vancouver office.
- Developing and implementing recruitment strategies, managing the hiring process, conducting interviews, and making offers.
- Continuously evaluate the talent acquisition function to enhance processes, staying informed on market trends and best hiring practices. Build and leverage a professional network to gain insights for ongoing improvement.
- Contribute to our North American talent acquisition strategy, including recruitment strategies and recommend ways to improve our employer brand.
- **Training and Development (5%)**:
- Onboarding new employees, identifying training needs, designing and delivering training programs, and managing professional development initiatives.
- **Performance Management (5%)**:
- Developing and implementing performance evaluation systems, providing feedback to employees, and managing performance improvement plans.
- Working with department managers on effective communication and feedback to employees.
- **Employee Relations and Company Culture (5%)**:
- Addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Promoting a positive, merit-based company culture
- Assist in the development and implementation of organizational strategies.
- **HR Policy Development (5%)**:
- Creating and implementing, enforcing HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
- **Compliance**:
- Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance with employment laws.
- **Compensation and Benefits**:
- Managing salary and benefits programs, conducting salary surveys, and ensuring competitive compensation packages.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**:
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on HR data to inform decision-making and track key performance indicators.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years hands-on experience in recruiting, or headhunting in IT / Software development industry.
- 3-5 years hands-on experience in HRBP or HR Manager role.
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in using metrics to inform, and base decisions upon.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- An ability to work in an unstructured environment with mínimal direction. Experience in Startups is a bonus.
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Working experience in a Software development company preferred.
As a note, this position is full time in office based in Vancouver, BC, so we are only considering those based locally and eligible to work in Canada.
