**Part-Time Event Floral Coordinator (Contract Position)**

La Fraise Rose is a luxury gifting company based in Vancouver, specializing in artisanal chocolate-covered strawberries, curated gift boxes, fresh floral arrangements, and premium specialty goods. We are now expanding into **event and wedding florals** and are looking for a driven, creative, and experienced **Event Floral Coordinator** to help **lead and grow** this new division.

This is a **part-time contract position** with a **monthly retainer** and **commission-based incentives (15% on all bookings)**. The initial commitment is a **3-month trial contract** to ensure this is a mutually strong fit, with potential for a long-term leadership role as the division grows.

**About the Role**

As the Event Floral Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for helping us launch and scale our wedding and event floral offerings. You’ll work closely with the owner and our store manager to build the infrastructure, marketing, and client experience for our event services. This is a **leadership role** that blends creative floral design, project coordination, and business development.

You must have experience in **event floral design** and **client coordination**, as well as a strong understanding of the Vancouver wedding and events industry. This role is ideal for someone who’s entrepreneurial, organized, and eager to grow something from the ground up while aligning with an established luxury brand.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Floral & Event Design**
- Create mockups, design concepts, and mood boards for weddings, parties, and corporate events.
- Lead the design and sourcing of flowers for arrangements such as centerpieces, bouquets, floral arches, and installations.
- Stay on top of trends and seasonal styles to keep designs fresh and relevant.

**2. Client Management & Sales**
- Respond to event and floral inquiries, book consultations, and lead client meetings.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and invoices based on client needs and budgets.
- Confidently close bookings and upsell additional services like chocolate strawberries, gift boxes, and installations.

**3. Event Coordination**
- Oversee the floral side of event execution from concept to delivery and installation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, rental companies, venues, and freelance assistants when needed.
- Ensure smooth setup and teardown of floral displays, with attention to timing and presentation.

**4. Marketing & Business Development**
- Help develop the visual identity and portfolio for the event floral division.
- Collaborate on styled shoots, content creation, and seasonal campaigns.
- Build relationships with wedding planners, photographers, venues, and local vendors to generate leads.
- Identify opportunities for La Fraise Rose to be featured on wedding platforms, blogs, or in styled shoots.

**5. Collaboration & Administration**
- Work closely with the store manager and owner to align brand aesthetics and customer experience.
- Maintain organized client records, event timelines, and inventory needs.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum **2-3 years of experience in floral design and event coordination** (weddings, corporate, or high-end private events).
- Strong **visual eye for luxury design, color palettes, and event styling**.
- Previous experience with **marketing, social media, or branding** is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; you’re comfortable speaking with clients, vendors, and team members alike.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented; you can manage multiple projects with mínimal supervision.
- Familiarity with using tech platforms for planning, client management, or visual presentation (e.g. Google Docs, Instagram, Canva, Wix).
- Access to a vehicle and willingness to be on-site for setups or event days when required.
- Must be based in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland area.

**Compensation**
