**POSITION PROFILE**:
Our Service Department is looking for a Service Manager who values the quality of work they bring to the table, is reliable and handles customer service interactions, reports, and repairs. And ensures excellent customer service, maintains strong relationships with customers and third-party vendors with a strong sales-minded attitude as well as excellent leadership skills.
**Job Duties but Not Limited To**:
- Responsible for profitable and effective management of the Service Department
- Responsible for servicing branch service and rebuild needs
- Manage a team of Foreman and Service Writers
- Customer contact for quotations, repair updates and warranty concerns
- Assist Branch Managers in advising their shop foreman
- Liaise with Customer, Sales and internal teams as required on service issues and opportunities
- Assist in all technical aspects, including diagnostics and parts support where required
- Drive team productivity to meet or exceed Company KPI’s
- Labor Utilization
- Gross Profit and Margin
- Expense Management
- Service Sales
- Manage warranty and rework to less than 1% of sales
- Manage technicians to a timely and productive service schedule
- Act as an ambassador for Health and Safety, including corporate initiatives such as COR
- Comply with all safety requirements such as toolbox meetings, safety meetings and hazard analyses
- Manage administrative requirements such as cost coding and time and materials allocations
- Perform required HR responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, disciplining and terminations
- Mentor and train new Foreman
- Any other duties or projects assigned by the General Service Manager
**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED**:
- Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience in a shop setting
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customer pay shop
- Journeyman mechanic certified (off road)
- Experience with heavy construction equipment
- A sound set of administrative skills
- A solid safety record
- Ability to motivate, coach and lead teams through change and growth
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule
