Environment:
As part of the System Administration team you'll be...
- Supporting the server, storage and network infrastructure that the virtualization technologies are deployed on
- Ensuring the system efficiency is maintained and recommending solutions for future upgrades.
- Administering software deployment, servers, and security updates. (OS and hardware)
- Assisting with the troubleshooting of network problems and monitoring network performance
- Providing end-user support for any technical questions, resolution, and technical support for all operating systems
- Deploying & configuring new virtual systems and ecosystems as client needs change and evolve
- Following change management practices
- Participating in training for new technologies, including obtaining certifications on those technologies
- Creating/updating required support documentation and cross training other Interdynamix engineers
- Provide ongoing 24/7 support of supported systems and services
- Five plus (5+) years Unix/Linux system administration experience in an enterprise environment; RHEL Linux preferred.
- Five plus (5+) years VMware deployment/operational support experience
- Proficiency in RHEL Linux, shell scripting (Bash, Python)
- Experience with Ansible and Building Playbook using YAML
- The ability to demonstrate good working knowledge of system security, networking infrastructure, and host connectivity.
- As understanding of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, including Kerberos and Active Directory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and nonverbal).
- Solid teamwork skills
- A self-motivated work ethic, with a can do attitude and is customer-service oriented
- A university degree/college diploma in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Additional skillsets that would be considered an asset:

- Experience with Redhat OpenStack deployment (OSP10/OSP13)
- Ability to work with MySQL, POSTRES or Oracle databases
- Experience using cloud system administration and automation tools i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, Jenkins, Helm, Terraform, etc.;
- Demonstrated experience of VMware NSX implementation and support
- Ability to work with MySQL, POSTRES or Oracle databases
- AIX & AIX PowerVM experience
- Solaris & Solaris Containers/Global Zone deployment experience
- Experience with Windows Operating systems
- Experience with NetApp storage technologies
