Parts and Inventory Coordinator

Waste Control Service (WCS) is a private, locally owned, and operated waste and recycling collections company offering solutions for sustainable management of all things waste. We offer collection services and consultation for both residential communities as well as commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations exclusively in the Greater Vancouver region.
**Overview of who we are looking for**: Under the direction of the Fleet Coordinator and Fleet Maintenance Manager, the applied position is primarily responsible for inventory control and data entry.
**Responsibilities**:
- Inventory Control:
- Maintain and track stock levels of essential truck parts on hand.
- Conduct routine inventory control measures to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Effectively communicate with Mechanics and Drivers.
- Organize parts room as required daily.
- Update and maintain inventory count into TRUX program.
- Assist in transporting trucks to body shops/outside service shops and parts pick up.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with WHIMIS and any other areas of Safety, as required.
- Perform the job in accordance with HSE philosophy, standards, programs, rules and permits.
- Actively participating in all safety programs.
- Promptly correcting unsafe acts and/or conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Job Requirements**:
- Experience in an Automotive/Transport industry is an asset.
- Must have valid class 5 driver’s license and suitable abstract
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Outlook and Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Must be able to lift over 70 lbs.
- Must be physically fit.
- It is necessary to be prepared for exposure to noise such as is common in trucking and shop environments.
**What we offer**:

- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, Daytime.
- Competitive benefits package including premiums paid for by the Company.
- Training and ability to advance.
- Salary: $55,000-$65,000 per year.
