**Position Title**: Estimator

**Term**: Fulltime

**Location**: Lower Mainland (Site Location)

**Availability**: Monday-Friday with overtime (Weekends Availability)

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
Specific duties and responsibilities, but not limited to:
**1. Bid Administration**
- Prepares and maintains the status of plan reproduction
- Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendors
- Prepares subcontractor bid packages
- Transmits addend and other bid information to subcontractors
- Ensures that we have the proper coverage from subcontractors’ bids
- Shows creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors
- Submits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline
- no exceptions
- Enters all relevant information into Timberline

**2. Project Knowledge**
- Review bid requirements thoroughly and asks a follow-up question on every bod
- Has a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned
- Develops RFI’s and clarification and ensures adequate subcontractor coverage and shows interest
- Performs a comprehensive “bid day” analysis and scoping of specific assigned trades
- Understands how to fit subs to the size/scope of the project
- Creates bid lists that fit the scope of the job, ensuring that we have the right subs for the project
- Include value-engineering ideas on every bid

**3. Follow-up & Closing**
- Consistently follows up on submitted bids and budgets with Architect and/or construction manager to close business

**4. Project turnover**
- Properly turns over bid documents and sub-buyout information to project management timely
- Review drawings with the project management team and highlight areas of concern
- Review job cost with the project management team and highlight any subs/material vendors that still need to be awarded
- Complete project kick-off form to ensure compliance

**5. Addition**
- Will coordinate and report to head office management as required
- Will report to Robert Bosa on any issues which may be detrimental to the company

**Requirements/Qualifications**:
1. Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in the construction industry.

2. Proven history of estimation projects in construction activities

3. A bachelor’s degree is preferred or high school diploma or equivalent associate degree/ vocational school program in construction-related field.

4. Exceptionally responsible with strong communication and organizational skills

5. Ability to oversee construction projects requirements

6. Be able to multitask and build positive relationships with other members of the company

**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lower Mainland, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- construction industry: 3 years (preferred)
- estimating construction projects: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's license (preferred)
