Geoscape Contracting is a pioneer in the green industry specializing in landscape construction for many large commercial and urban developers, with projects spanning across the GTA. We dedicate ourselves to all aspects of commercial landscaping, including but not limited to; softscaping, hardscaping, grading, retaining walls, park construction, fencing and masonry.
Fencing Coordinator
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct all business in a professional and timely fashion, ensuring Geoscape’s Core Values are being represented to the highest standards;
- Ability to interpret and understand utility locates, landscape plans;
- Report to the Site Foreman and perform a number of physical tasks including tree and shrub planting, loading/unloading of materials and equipment on truck/trailer, installation of chain link, decorative metal, wood privacy, wood acoustic fence, placing, spreading and grading soils, mulch or aggregates, installing and removing T-bars, silt fences, temporary fence, as well as site clean-up;
- Other manual jobs may be required as well as using hand tools and operating small machines;
- Assist in hardscaping of sites; interlock, gravel preparation
- Assist in softscape of site including planting
- Assist with coordination of subcontractors and invoices
- Meeting with landscape architects/clients on site
- Coordinating site layout with surveyors
- Material take offs and ordering
- Coordinating with sub-contractors
- Double check quality & site cleanliness
- Ability to read grades
- Help crews when required
- Assist with estimating fencing
- Coordinate with suppliers for fencing when required for site
- Inform the Foreman of any injury, near miss or damage to the property;
- Maintain a high level of professionalism on job sites as may have encounters with clients and the general public.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in the fencing considered an asset;
- Experience using hand tools and operating small machines, power tools;
- Problem solving & time management skills;
- Valid drivers license & vehicle;
- Understands property lines
- Contributes to a team atmosphere;
- Demonstrates the ability to self-motivate;
- Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with utility locates and plan reading considered an asset
