**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor network performance and availability, ensuring uptime and performance levels meet or exceed SLAs
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide resolutions to network-related problems
- Configure and maintain network devices, switches, and firewalls
- Maintain network firewall security policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide support for network-related issues
- Document network configurations and changes to ensure accuracy and maintain an up-to-date inventory of network devices
- Participate in the design and implementation of network solutions, including network design, VLAN management, routing and switching, wireless networking, load balancing, and VPN configuration
- Continuously evaluate and improve network performance, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs

**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- At least 6 years of experience in network operations and maintenance
- Strong technical skills in FortiGate configuration, network design, VLAN management, routing and switching, wireless networking, load balancing, VPN configuration, and security compliance
- Fortinet NSE certification required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
- Strong soft skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Computer networking: 7 years (preferred)
- VMWare (Virtualization): 5 years (preferred)
- Cisco routers: 6 years (preferred)
- Switches: 5 years (preferred)
- Hyper V: 5 years (preferred)
- Network Design: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Firewall (preferred)
- CompTIA Network+ (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Whitby, ON
