Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Relations, the Corporate Relationship Manager (RM) in the Career Advancement Centre (CAC) at Smith School of Business (Smith) will be responsible for building and maintaining corporate partnerships. The incumbent will gather in-depth knowledge and forecasted trends of various talent needs in specific industries and functional disciplines for on campus recruiting (OCR) opportunities. The RM will leverage this information to continuously improve the schools ranking by increasing students’ ability to obtain sought
- after and highly paid positions in the marketplace.

The Corporate Relationship Manager will work across all programs, but primarily focused on early to mid level talent with the intent to identify, foster, and maintain relationships with potential and existing corporate partners and their campus recruitment opportunities.
Corporate engagement with Smith talent will be facilitated through various events, such as OCR, corporate networking and career discovery events, coffee chats, roundtables, interviewing schedules and industry nights. The RM will support the mandate of the team, while maintaining exceptional service to Smith’s external corporate partners and liaising with student groups, staff, faculty, and Smith’s programs.

This position requires flexible hours of work including evenings and weekends, as well as regular travel.

**Job Description**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Foster and Maintain Existing Accounts
- Work with existing accounts to build their campus program recruiting strategy as a trusted advisor. Collaboratively with the Director, Corporate Relations, and with input from industry, develop and manage all timelines and content for job postings, info sessions, recruitment events, and interviews. Ensure a superior and seamless recruiting experience, on-campus for participating employers.
- Manage on-campus employer events outside of recruiting (e.g., workshops, case competitions).
- Build strong relationships with all current organizations in all functional areas to ensure all opportunities are captured.
- Facilitate connections with all relevant Smith School of Business programs and student groups.
- Keep well informed on industry trends and opportunities through regular engagement with their portfolio of partners.

2. Identify New Business
- Identify and pursue, in partnership with the Associate Director, Corporate Development and Talent Initiatives, any new target accounts in the OCR portfolio and develop a business relationship and engage in Smith recruiting and networking events.
- Promote the Smith brand/programs in various key cities with a primary focus on Toronto, in key cities identified by student preferences.
- Seek opportunities in all functional areas (e.g., marketing, analytics, etc.).

3. Collaboration
- Share deep knowledge in the targeted sector with students, on market trends, key competencies for relevant roles in the assigned sectors.
- Work closely with a career coach to transfer all sector specific knowledge to the Career Education and Coaching Team thereby improving our ability to prepare students for the career of their choice.
- Work with selected students, as identified by the Career Education and Coaching Team, to provide sector specific coaching to prepare these students for opportunities within the industry.
- Work closely with the Director, Corporate Relations, and the Corporate Relations team to support the goals of the CAC.
- Work closely with the Manager, Experiential Learning, Partners and Programs to source industry partners for EL projects, internships, and other Smith initiatives.
- Connect students with their network in the sector.
- Work with the Career Education and Coaching team to share industry knowledge.
- Develop and maintain connections with relevant student groups in order to have a cohesive approach to our corporate relations.
- Collaborate with the Career Education and Coaching team and external experts, and alumni, on custom program initiatives ensuring corporate participation.
4. Promote Opportunities
- Ensure job opportunities and careers in the sector are marketed and promoted to the appropriate programs at Smith via portals, websites and student groups.
- Market the benefits of employment in specific sectors to encourage students to enter a field of choice, particularly in the areas where corporate employers are seeking (e.g., diversity, minorities, women, or international).
- Promote Smith talent through multi-facete
