**Position purpose**:
Responsible for planning, coordinating and evaluating the academic support and learning program intended to assist students with disabilities so that students can have equal access to education while maintaining academic integrity. As a stakeholder in the academic accommodation process, responsible for assessing and implementing appropriate academic accommodations with respect and reliability.

**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:

- Plans, coordinates, and directs related actions to ensure the internal implementation of excellent customer service for students with disabilities as required.
- Develops tailor-made training to ensure that its team of learning specialists maintain and carry out a standard level of intervention that meets the learning needs of students with documented disabilities.
- Coordinates and evaluates the work of his team in terms of the interventions to be favored and the procedures to be followed during the reception and follow-up of students to ensure an irreproachable quality of service and according to the Code of Human Rights while respecting integrity school.
- Develops and maintains collaboration with faculties/professors to ensure the implementation of appropriate and reasonable academic accommodation measures for students and manages complex cases of his team as needed.

Provides regular guidance and consultations to his team as needed for the management of complex situations based on his in-depth knowledge and expertise.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations with regard to the various administrative procedures and practices related to the provision of services to clients and intervention with clients.
- Participates in committees as an expert in academic accommodation and learning and recommends approaches targeting clients with disabilities based on faculty requirements and particularities.

Supervises, plans and directs interpretation services to ensure that excellent interpretation services are provided for deaf and hard of hearing clients.
- Provides, among other things, the establishment and revision of a list of community resources in order to direct the student clientele to qualified professionals and refer them to appropriate services on campus or in the community, when necessary.
- In collaboration with the SA management team, participates in the process of strategic planning and evaluation of its services in order to improve the service.
- Develops, implements and coordinates student mentoring programs and targeted internal communications mechanisms (cyclical process) to manage student expectations and learning supports.
- Ensures that his team maintains their files through progress notes recorded as individual meetings are held in the database. Ensures the confidentiality of files according to the laws in force.
- Develops and implements partnerships with experts in order to set up training programs aimed at supporting school perseverance and related to academic success for students with disabilities.

**What you will bring**:

- Possess a master's degree in education or a related field (examples, cognitive psychology, educational psychology, multidisciplinary disability studies), or equivalent.
- Possess a very good specialized knowledge of the particular educational needs of students with disabilities in a post-secondary environment.
- Knowledge of education and public policies and their current trends as they relate to persons with disabilities (Ontario Human Rights Commission, Education Access Policy Statement, ODA)
- Knowledge of adapted technologies used in post-secondary settings.
- In-depth knowledge of the principles related to university pedagogy.
- Experience of at least 5 years in personnel supervision.
- Training and experience of at least 5 years in cognitive and metacognitive learning and intervention.
- Extensive experience in the functional assessment of students and their learning environme
