**Social Media & Community Manager (aka Chief Storyteller & Party Starter)**
**Location**: Guelph & Kitchener (must be able to travel between restaurants)
**A little about us**: The Neighbourhood Group has 4 restaurant brands (The Wooly Pub, Borealis Grille & Bar - Guelph & Kitchener locations, Miijidaa Café + Bistro, Park Eatery) that are all passionate about local food and drinks. We are a socially conscious Certified B Corporation that believes in making a difference in our community and the environment. We love to capture our stories through video and images, and we are looking for a Social Media & Community Manager to help us share our story with the world.
**What we need**:As our Social Media & Community Manager, you will be responsible for sharing our passion for local food and drinks and all the amazing stories that come with it. You will be the voice of our brand on social media and will help us grow our online presence. You will also be responsible for creating content that showcases our restaurant group's commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Create and manage social media content for our restaurant group's various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Develop and execute a community focused social media strategy, increasing brand awareness and driving engagement with Neighbourhood Group community
- Monitor and respond to customer comments and messages in a timely and professional manner while identifying opportunities for growth through engagement, and fostering a positive and engaged community
- Work with our executive team to create marketing materials that support our social media strategy
- Develop and maintain relationships with local influencers and bloggers
- Create engaging video and photo content that showcases our love for local food and drinks, our commitment to social & environmental responsibility, and our restaurant group's unique story
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and technologies, and evaluate new opportunities for the brand that can drive growth and enhance community building
- Plan and host community-building events and initiatives, such as social media contests, online discussions, and other in-restaurant events
**What you'll need**:
- At least 2 years of experience in social media management and community building
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite) and analytics with a focus on measuring growth and community engagement
- Knowledge of best practices for social media, including current algorithms and policies with a focus on growth hacking techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Repurpose and create your own original, high-quality content (e.g text, images, videos) that aligns with brand voice and goals and drives engagement and growth
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Video editing and/or graphic design skills are nice to have - we do some outsourcing, but there’s no such thing as too much talent especially for quick turnaround times
- Passion for local food and drinks, social responsibility, and community building
- Bonus points if you have experience in the food and beverage industry or if you love to throw parties

Pay: $58,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
