As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Purchasing Specialist to join our team at our Markham office.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for toys, games, collectibles, and specialty merchandise.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize profitability.
- Monitor inventory levels and sales trends to effectively plan restocks and new product acquisitions.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising and retail teams to ensure the right products reach the right stores at the right time.
- Review purchase orders for accuracy and guarantee timely processing.
- Analyze sales performance and product lifecycle to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve any issues related to delivery or product discrepancies.
- Research new trends, products, and suppliers to continuously expand our assortment.
- Coordinate with accounting and warehouse teams on invoicing and receiving matters.

**Qualifications**:

- 4+ years of purchasing or buying experience, preferably in retail (toys, collectibles, or pop culture-related categories are a plus).
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite is required.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Keen analytical and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for games, toys, and pop culture is a definite asset
