**Summary of the Role (On-site: 9300 Trans Canada Route, St-Laurent, QC, H4S 1K5)**

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the processing of 6 company payroll including salaried and hourly employees. Ensures accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions. Ensures proper governmental reporting and compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collect and process full cycle of payrolls for Canadian hourly, salaried, and non-union employees; (approximately 400 employees)
- Collecting weekly timesheets for hourly
- Enter new hires and termination in ADP
- Verify and process payroll information following labour regulations
- Prepare month-end journal entries for divisions in ADP
- Ensure that all salaries are paid accurately and in a timely fashion
- Prepare journal entries and forms in ADP, such as records of employment, income tax forms, and remittances
- Process year-end T4’s; balancing and issuing, in an accurate and timely manner
- Monitor and investigate accounting reports that are run after payroll is processed to ensure that deductions and other areas of payroll have the proper controls
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll functions for audit purposes, in accordance with statutory requirements
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure pay and personnel records are accurate and up to date
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with sensitive issues

**Requirements**:

- Experience with ADP Workforce now
- Experience with Canada Wide payroll, including WCB, CNESST, WSIB
- Analytical and Mathematical Skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of payroll experience including the processing of salaries, and other forms of compensation with Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certifications.
