**Your responsibilities**:

- Verify and process weekly, bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll.
- Prepare electronic payments for the bank and coordinate the printing of pay slips.
- Prepare Records of Employment.
- Manage third-party remittances (SQC, garnishments, WSIB/CNESST, etc.) and assist finance team in reconciling associated GLs.
- Investigate, analyze and resolve issues for employees, managers, accounting group and external government agencies.
- Assist Payroll Manager with year-end reconciliations, deposits and various other year-end tasks (asset).

**Your background**:

- French is required for this role. English is also required in this role as the individual will be responsible for Alberta and Ontario payroll and will be required to communicate with employees in these provinces.
- Completion of 1st level CPA course (asset).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a payroll department.
- Knowledge of SAP and Workday payroll systems would be an asset, and working knowledge of Excel is a must.
- Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize in an efficient and timely manner, and work with cross-functional teams.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with attention to detail.
- A proactive way of working to serve customers with a can-do attitude.
