Operating with an Employer of choice mindset, the Payroll & Benefits Analyst plays a key role in retaining talent. Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, the Payroll & Benefits Analyst provides a range of integrated pay and benefits services for all Psycho Bunny employees (retail and corporate) across Canada and USA, all with an attention to detail to accuracy in order to enhance the employee experience. In addition, the incumbent will participate in constant process reengineering to ensure best in class efficiencies and excellent customer service.

**HOW WILL YOU DO IT?**

**_
Payroll Administration:_**

Update HR / Payroll information for new hires, terminations, and other employee changes

Ensure proper payment of deposits, tracking of paid time off, special payments, employment termination payout, etc.

Participate in the fiscal year-end process along with the Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Answer employee questions related to payroll, benefits as they arise

Track payments from employees on sick leave / maternity Investigate and resolve payroll issues with management

Participate in the preparation and rollout of group benefits open enrollment campaign

Serve as a backup to the Payroll & Benefits Specialist to process Canadian and US payroll.

Be the contact for government agencies such as the Canadian Revenue Agency, Revenue Quebec, WSIB etc.

Participate in constant process reengineering to ensure best in class efficiencies and excellent customer service.

Generate and analyze reports on store wages to ensure that wage control is maintained.

Generate various payroll & benefits related reports as requested.

Group Benefits Administration:_**

Administer employee benefits and other wellness programs

Ensure timely processing of workers' compensation claims for US & Canada

Advise employees of any changes to their benefits

Process employees leave of absence and long-term disability requests

Communicate with Insurance providers on behalf of Psycho Bunny

Maintain and update employee benefit records

Ensure compliance as it relates to benefit plan policies

**WHO YOU ARE**

Post-secondary education in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

2-4 years relevant experience

Experienced within Canada and US; Experience working with remote locations, highly desirable

Experience within the retail industry is an asset.

Strong technical strengths in the areas of payroll supporting a growing operation across US and Canada.

Adept with Google Workspace

Sense of urgency and attention to detail

Excellent judgment and decision-making skills

Able to multitask efficiently

Protect the confidentiality of information and records

Perfectly bilingual, both written and spoken (French and English) with an ability to adjust messaging appropriate to the audience. Spanish is an asset.

Knowledge of applicable labour laws on employment practices.

Strong collaboration, interpersonal, analytical and team skills; comfortable with ambiguity and challenging status quo.
