**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision and artistry, adhering to traditional techniques and presentation standards
- Handle raw fish and other ingredients safely, following all food safety protocols
- Cook and prepare complementary menu items as needed, including side dishes and accompaniments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi bar and kitchen area according to health regulations
- Serve customers efficiently, providing excellent food service and answering any questions about menu items
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, cooking, or food handling within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and traditional Japanese cuisine
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper kitchen hygiene practices
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, food presentation, and customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior restaurant experience in the food industry is preferred
- Kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in handling various culinary tools and equipment
