**The Opportunity**:
As part of our Customs Team, the Customs Coordinator is responsible to obtain customs clearances for cross border freight within the timescales provided by drivers, while ensuring Challenger is compliant with Government regulations established by U.S. and Canada Customs.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Electronically submit ACE & ACI shipments directly to Canada and US Customs for Challenger and Elgin drivers
- Integrate information received via satellite message into ACE/ACI systems and submit to Customs
- Review the details of the shipment and ensure multiple commodities are entered accurately
- Prepare and send paperwork to Customs brokers to obtain pre-clearances
- Answer inquiries from drivers and internal employees regarding customs clearances
- Monitor shipments clearance by brokers to ensure clearance is done in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot and problem solve any Customs issues that arise
- Access web based portals to view shipments and edit data when needed
- Assist drivers in completing ACE and ACI lead sheets, A8A’s, and U.S. Bonds
- Scan and index Customs paperwork into Synergize
- Create letters of authorization for third party carriers to use Challenger PARS or Bonds
- Send proof of releases/clearances to brokers as required
- Performs other duties as required

**What You Need To Be Successful In This Role**:

- Secondary school diploma
- 1 year of office administration experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- ACE/ACI knowledge is beneficial
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Multi-tasking in fast paced setting
- Positive attitude
- Ability to prioritize with good sense of urgency
- Attention to detail
- Customer focus
- Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
- Problem solving & analytical thinking
- Quality focus
