Service Writer

Service Writer
**Key Responsibilities**:1. Quotes Creation and Management**:

- Review and process quotes created by the planner, Mirlin, Cetaris
- Ensure accuracy of quotes and provide necessary updates to customers.
- Follow up with customers to address any questions or clarifications needed regarding quotes.

**2. Customer Updates**:

- Regularly update customers on the status of their orders or services.
- Communicate any changes or delays in a timely and professional manner.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing solutions as needed.

**3. Obtaining Approvals**:

- Obtain necessary approvals from customers or internal departments for quotes, changes, or other service-related matters. Financial Acumen is an asset. Role may require monthly statement approvals and compliance. AR/AP experience is an asset.
- Ensure that all approvals are documented and processed according to company procedures.
- This would assist Dom with the backlog and present and opportunity for us to maintain the required approvals in his absence.

4. Scheduling/Closing RO’s
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure availability and proper scheduling. This will include Service and Parts Lines of Business.
- Manage and update the scheduling system to reflect accurate appointment times.
- Closing backlog of RO’s. 5 days to close a RO will be a KPI

**5. Walk-In Customer Assistance**:

- Greet and assist walk-in customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Address their needs, provide information, and direct them to the appropriate departments as needed.
- Handle any immediate issues or concerns raised by walk-in customers.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field an asset. Technician 310T or 310J designation preferred.
- Technical knowledge within truck and coach and transport trailer with reefer knowledge is an asset.
- Proven experience in customer service, administrative support, or a related role.
- Transportation Experience. Understand this sector of business.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using office software and scheduling tools. Cetaris knowledge an asset.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Friendly and professional demeanor, especially when interacting with customers in person or over the phone.

**Additional Skills**:

- Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
