**THE ROLE**:
As a Technical Writer you will be an integral member of the Invafresh Product team. We are looking for a forward-thinking technical writer to lead our effort to define, implement and execute a documentation strategy in the next generation of our platform. You will work closely with our product managers, developers and the customer success team to author an integrated knowledge base, user guides, API documentation, reference materials and release notes. You will have a passion for understanding the audience of your writing and helping them achieve their desired outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan, write, and maintain the knowledge base, API documentation, user guides, web service reference guides, release notes, and technical notes for our Fresh Retail Platform.
- Gather information from user stories, design documents, standards, product managers and engineers.
- Provide peer editing for grammar, brand adherence, clarity, conciseness, and consistency.
- Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the writing style guide, document templates, and other internal processes and standards.
- Create and improve user interface text such as field descriptions and error messages.
- Provide suggestions for continuous improvement of existing department standards and processes.

**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a role such as Technical Writer, Technical Communication Specialist, or Documentation Writer.
- Familiar with information architecture, markup languages, source version control, problem reporting, and continuous integration.
- Understanding of SaaS solution concepts in a cloud environment.
- Knowledge of writing and editorial best practices.
- Experience with business workflow documentation detailing complex business processes.
- High degree of user empathy with an ability to translate complex topics into understandable, digestible topics.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, communications, writing or equivalent.
