We are excited to be recruiting for a **VLT Accounting Clerk - Part Time**at the Norwood Hotel. This position is 2 days a week, and applicants must be available to work during the week and weekends.

The Norwood Hotel has always been an innovative leader in the hotel industry. The Norwood Hotel has an interesting and diverse history dating back to the latter part of the 1800’s. The earliest records available indicate a photograph of the hotel in 1895. In 1937, the Hotel came under the ownership of the late Merle Sparrow and has been operated by the Sparrow family ever since. This longevity in ownership makes the Norwood the oldest operated family hotel in Manitoba and one, if not the oldest in all of Western Canada.

**Job Summary**:
The **VLT Accounting Clerk** is responsible for handling all financial aspects of VLT operations, including daily revenue reconciliation, tracking payouts, and preparing financial reports. This position ensures compliance with local gaming regulations, assists with audits, and maintains accurate records of transactions. This position includes being able to efficiently count and verify large sums of money and will require someone with extensive cash handling experience.

**Duties**:
1. Counting, balancing, verifying all cash, floats, and deposits for both VLT’s and hotel, as well as verifying and balancing all credit card deposits.

2. Creating/balancing daily bank deposit slips and creating daily bank deposit

3. Entering/balancing/posting totals of all payment transactions into excel and calculating daily VLT deposit totals.

4. Creating cash floats for use the following day.

5. Work on accounts receivables.

**What you bring to the table**:
1. Extensive cash handling experience working in an industry with large volume of cash and coin.

2. 2+ Years of Cash Handling/Bookkeeping experience

3. A positive and hardworking attitude

4. Can work quickly, accurately, and independently at all times with mínimal supervision.

5. Has experience using excel, and can balance, identify, and correct payment errors with mínimal problems.

6. Is dependent, bondable, and can successfully provide an up to date, clean criminal record check.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
