**Role**:
The **Accounts Payable Clerk** performs duties involved in the account’s payable functions, including:

- Follows up on identified discrepancies with suppliers and/ or purchasing department staff as appropriate in the situation
- Prepares periodic aged listings of outstanding accounts payable, reviews for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain the open purchase order file
- Matching shipping documents to approved purchase orders
- Receiving all incoming invoices and reviews for accuracy and completeness and then matches with Purchase Order package
- Codes invoices to appropriate General Ledger account (s) and inputs into ERP system.
- Prepares periodic aged listings of outstanding accounts payable, reviews for accuracy and completeness
- Reviews aged accounts payable listings every two weeks and recommends which outstanding invoices need to be paid so as to optimize the company’s cash resources.
- Prepares semi-monthly cheque runs in accordance with stated payment practices taking into consideration some suppliers special payment terms.
- Prepares ad hoc and monthly account reconciliations as required - Maintains highly organized filing system for open purchase orders, packing slips, and accounts payable invoices.
- Receives all employee expense reports and reviews for accuracy and completeness.
- Processes all employee expense reports on a bi-weekly basis in accordance with reimbursement policies

The Accounts Payable Clerk is also responsible for ensuring adherence to ISO’s/Kinetics’ control systems and processes. This position works under limited supervision.

**SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED**
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent listening skills and written and verbal communication skills
- Prefer strong computer literacy specifically with experience in an ERP based software environment
- Solid experience with MS Office products such as Excel, Word and Outlook
- 1+ years’ experience processing invoices
- Completion of basic accounting courses
