**Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Construction Foreman to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. The Foreman is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing asbestos abatement and demolition projects in compliance with all applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, and client requirements. This role ensures that work is completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards and leading a team of workers on site.

**Responsibilities**

  • Direct and supervise asbestos abatement and demolition crews on daily site activities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Ontario Regulation 278/05 (asbestos on construction projects and in buildings/repair operations) and all other occupational health and safety laws.
  • Oversee site preparation, containment setup, negative air pressure systems, and safe removal/disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Monitor air quality and ensure clearance testing is conducted by certified consultants.
  • Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports as required.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and enforce the use of PPE and decontamination procedures.
  • Coordinate equipment and material needs, ensuring proper use and maintenance of tools and machinery.
  • Communicate with project managers, consultants, and clients regarding project progress, challenges, and timelines.
  • Train and mentor crew members in safe work practices, asbestos handling, and demolition techniques.
  • Ensure all waste is handled, transported, and disposed of at approved facilities in compliance with environmental standards.

- **Qualifications & Skills**

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in asbestos abatement and/or demolition, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory/lead role.

**Performance Expectations**

  • Projects completed on time and within budget.
  • Zero safety violations or incidents.
  • Strong client and consultant satisfaction through professionalism and quality of work.
  • Effective leadership resulting in high crew productivity and morale.
  • Valid Type 3 Asbestos Abatement Supervisor Certification (Ontario) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of demolition techniques, hazardous materials protocols, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and abatement plans.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces, high dust environments, and under PPE.
  • WHMIS, Working at Heights, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant safety certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
