**Position Summary**:
The analyst researches, writes, and develops briefing notes, discussion papers, options papers, and presentations. Provides analytical services and research expertise on a wide variety of topics and files, including a focus on the urban aboriginal file.

**As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. **Responsibilities**:

- Conducts qualitative and quantitative research through literature reviews, surveys, and in-depth interviews and interactions with other internal FNHA departments, communities, federal and provincial health partners, Health Directors, and other related stakeholders.
- Provides recommendations to the development of presentations, briefing notes, discussion papers, and options papers on various topics, files, initiatives, and projects by performing data and trend analyses, and consolidating and synthesizing diverse information.
- Provides analytical and advisory support to the ED COO, Directors, Executive Advisors and Managers in the Office of the COO.
- Keeps abreast of key internal initiatives within FNHA, and external health and wellness industry news and developments, particularly information and knowledge relative to aboriginal health to identify alignment and opportunities related to operational and specific file priorities, projects and initiatives of the Office of the COO and the portfolio in general.

**Qualifications**:
Education
- A University Degree with relevant specialization, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Experience
- Recent, relevant and significant experience in gathering, synthesizing and analyzing information and data (usually acquired over a period of 3-5 years)
- Experience in research and writing (usually acquired over a period of 3-5 years)
- Experience working with First Nations communities or organizations is an asset

**Knowledge, Skills & Attributes**:
