The Electronics Technician will work in Test Engineering providing verification and validation support for product development and manufacturing of advanced underwater warfare systems. The Electronics Technician helps to design, build, and test product prototypes and test systems.

**Duties**:

- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and test engineering colleagues in a concurrent engineering approach to achieve excellence in new product introduction.
- Provide input to product designs, especially electronic circuits and assemblies, with an emphasis on design for test.
- Develop test procedures for electronic components and assemblies for testing throughout the life cycle including prototyping, design proving, qualification, and production.
- Build, test, modify, and repair electronic assemblies.
- Investigate electronic assembly test failures, troubleshoot, problem solve.
- Perform electronics system tests, record and analyze results and prepare reports.
- Perform electronics system tests conducted at external environmental test labs and field test facilities.
- Build, test and support automated test sets and other tools used for verification in manufacturing.

Qualifications:

- Electronic Engineering Technician Diploma

**Experience**:

- 3 years experience in building and testing commercial or military electronics in a design and manufacturing environment.

**Skills**:

- Electronics assembly.
- High reliability soldering.
- Operation of general purpose test equipment for electronic testing.
- Problem solving, electronics troubleshooting, root cause analysis.
- Schematic capture using OrCAD or a similar tool suite.
- Test procedure development.
- High quality documentation: test procedures, test reports.
- Collaboration within a team.
- Initiative and personal organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication.

Desired Skills:

- Experience with RF or underwater acoustics product testing, maintenance or operation.
- PCB layout design.
- Test program development using LabVIEW or a similar tool.
- CTech or CET designation or equivalent.
