**JOB SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Divisional Controller, the Accounts Payable Clerk plays an essential role in the company's financial management. He is responsible for processing, verifying invoices, matching the necessary documents and managing communications with suppliers. By ensuring accurate coding and follow-up on approvals, he helps maintaining accurate, up-to-date accounts. In addition, he enters data into the Epicor system and transfers payment files to technicians for processing, ensuring efficient payment management.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Invoice Processing**:Prepare, verify and record invoices received from suppliers, then send them for approval.
- **Document Matching**:Match purchase orders, receiving slips and invoices.
- **Invoice Validation and Coding**: Ensure the accuracy of invoice and expense account coding.
- **Data entry**: Enter invoices (services, transport and customs) and expense accounts into the Epicor system.
- **Approval Follow-up**: Ensure that invoices and expense accounts are approved by authorized persons.
- **Accounts Payable Statement**:Track credits and reconcile accounts payable statements.
- **Payment**:Prepare and then transfer files to accounts payable technicians for payment.

**Other accounting duties**
- Participate in post office management and mail distribution.
- Replace colleagues during vacation periods.
- Prepare monthly accruals for accounts payable.
- Any other related duties as determined by supervisor

**REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Education: DEP, AEC or DEC in Accounting.
- Experience: Minimum of one year's experience in high-volume accounts payable.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Autonomy.
- Team spirit and collaboration.
- Courtesy and discretion.
- Spoken and written languages: French and English (High level).
- Knowledge of the Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems or ability to learn computer technologies.
