The Installer Apprentice will assist the Installer Technician in completing the installation of all products sold by Ultimate Home Comfort. Required to perform tasks to assist in the installation, anticipate requirements during the job and ensure customer premises is left cleaner than when you arrived. The goal is to learn all details of the installation process. All this while providing excellent customer service when interacting with the customer.

**Responsibilities**
- Follow the standard operating procedures with respect to installation and service of Ultimate Home Comfort products.
- Listen to all instruction from the Installer Technician.
- Anticipate what the installer technician may need (part or tool) to complete the task at hand.
- Maintain proper safety equipment at all times.
- Call customers on route to job sites (when requested).
- Perform Tasks as required including (but not limited to) such activities as: cutting holes, installing flashings; installing venting; taking notes and holding ladders.
- Must be able to work on roof tops
- Keep truck clean and organized
- Observe and learn constantly - remember the goal is to move up to Installer Technician with your own truck.
- Collect balances owed by customers when required

Hours of work

As an Ultimate Home Comfort Installer Apprentice, you will be scheduled for regular Monday to Friday, however hours will vary. Work until the job is done. Overtime is part of the position and when required, overtime is paid for any week over 48 hours.

**Deliver Excellent Customer Service**
- Answer customers questions promptly, if you don’t know the answer call the office for more information.
- Up-sell Ultimate Home Comfort products and services (when applicable).

**General Duties**

Ad hock tasks as required, such as (but not limited to)
- Cleaning showroom and warehouse
- Stocking shelves
- Filling propane tanks for customers
- Assemble BBQ’s etc.
- Ensure stock items in truck are refilled when necessary

**Skills and Certification**

Gas Technician 2 Apprenticeship course certification; valid drivers license; clean drivers abstract; experience with basic hand tools, ability to work in elevated situations such as roof tops.

Attitude of continuous improvement; self-motivated and hard working; honest; positive and trustworthy.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Halifax, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
- Gas Tech 2 Apprenticeship Course (preferred)
