**The Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls is seeking passionate, enthusiast individuals who are looking to make a career in the hospitality industry.**

We are looking for a a larger-than-life personality, willing to go above and beyond for each guest. Guest Services Agent is a key position that contributes to the overall success of The Oakes Hotel - First impressions are everything

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Greet guests in a friendly manner and follow check in procedures
- Take payments and post accurately to guest accounts
- Follow set polices regarding cash handling
- Communicate with other departments in a friendly and professional manner
- Be aware of local attractions and restaurants and make recommendations to guests
- Handle incoming phone calls and other guest communication in a discreet fashion
- Accurately communicate with other shifts regarding issues arising from day-to-day operations
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Block and assign rooms, as appropriate and be responsible for cash control and cash balancing
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Previous hospitality experience is preferred
- Experience with PMS an asset
- Diploma in Hospitality or related courses an asset
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal essential
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

**Onboarding Requirement**:

- Required to provide a certificate proving completion of the Health and Safety Awareness Training for Supervisors (e-course provided by the Ministry of Labour)

**Salary**: $17.60 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Niagara Falls, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Guest Service: 1 year (preferred)
