E-commerce Shipping and Receiving

Head Candy is an online retailer of smoking accessories and related lifestyle items at competitive prices with speedy shipping and excellent customer service. Orders are packed with care and attention so that they are received in perfect condition.

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and owners.

Full Time or Part Time. Work hours: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5pm, with flexibility to work weekends when required (not very often but possible during busy sale periods, inventory counting, etc.)

Office location is in South Vancouver. Free on-site parking is provided for employees.

Success in this position will be achieved by consistently demonstrating strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment. This is as hands-on active role. Ability to be on your feet for the majority of the day and loading/unloading boxes and product.

**In this role you will be responsible for**:

- Shipping orders, which includes ensuring orders are picked, organized and verified with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Loading and unloading boxes and packages with shipping carriers and within the warehouse
- Receiving/checking in orders from wholesalers/suppliers, including checking each item for damage and invoicing errors, and putting stock away in the proper areas
- Oversee shipping department, including troubleshooting problems, ensuring shipping supplies are ordered and stocked, dealing with shipping carriers pick ups and deliveries
- Ensure orders are shipped timely and in an efficient manner that aligns with company standards, which includes verifying that the order contains the correct products, packing the order, and generating the shipping label
- Be committed to maintaining operational and quality standards
- General office and warehouse clean up
- Making recommendations to management regarding productivity, efficiency, goal planning and execution.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role
- Ability to be on your feet for the majority of the day
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

(this job requires loading/unloading boxes and packages, as well as moving boxes and reorganizing within the warehouse)
- High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills

- Strong Interpersonal Skills as this role requires inter-department communication, communication with multiple shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries, as well as in-person online order pick ups with customers
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to learn manual and automated systems
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft office
- Experience with Shopify and e-commerce is a strong asset
- Desire to actively problem solve and improve processes
- Excellent time management skills
- Positive attitude
- Experience in the cannabis/smoking accessory industry is an asset, but not required.

**Salary**: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
