Site Operations
TOERSA Security is proud to offer year-round, 24/7 site coverage for many sites across Ottawa. Ranging from government sites, construction sites, hotels, commercial entities, and many more. Site guards are often picked from exceptional standouts on our Special Events team

**Required Qualifications and Experience**:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard license **(required)**:
- Minimum 18 years of age **(required)**:
- Valid Smart Serve certification **(required)**:
- Valid First Aid and CPR-C Certification **(required)**:
- Experience in customer service settings **(required)**:
- Minimum 2 years of security experience **(exceptions may be made with relevant education or experience).**:
- Use of Force Certification **(Preferred but not required)**
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Conduct event patrols and enforce Liquor License and Control Act provisions, Trespass to Property Act, ensure AGCO and PSIS compliance, remove individuals causing disturbances/security concerns,
- Provide transitional First Aid to event patrons while awaiting the response of medical staff,
- Respond effectively to client, supervisor, and management requests and feedback,
- De-escalate aggressive and violent behaviour,
- Back-up other guards, clients, and event employees,
- Screen for prohibited items in the event,
- Ensure alcohol and illicit substances do not enter event grounds,
- Monitor for over-intoxication,
- Ensure intoxicated individuals do not drive,
- Ensure intoxicated individuals can get home safely, or with the support of responsible friends/family members.

- Secondary School (required),

- WHMIS Certification (preferred)
