**JOB OVERVIEW**

As a Labourer, you will be responsible for providing physical labour support during all project phases. A Labourer provides a broad range of support in areas, such as moving materials, clearing terrain, site preparation, shoveling and basic equipment operation.

**REPORT TO**

You will directly report to the Shop Manager or your Site Supervisor depending on your day to day work location.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**

As a Labourer, you are responsible for, but not limited to, the following list of duties are:

- Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite.
- Cleaning up worksites from debris and machinery.
- Helping erect scaffolding and ladders.
- Assist welders and millwrights on-site.
- Safely operate appropriate equipment to complete required tasks.
- Monitor proper working condition of equipment and notify Site Supervisor of any issues or concerns.
- Follow and maintain safety protocol.
- Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to carry heavy loads.
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling, shoveling
- Weight handling: over 50lbs
- G class driver’s license in good standing/Clean driver’s abstract (an asset)
- Labouring experience is an asset.

**Work Conditions**:

- Work hours - days/evenings, overtime as required
- Fast-paced environment
- Manual/physical labour and repetitive tasks
- Travel to worksite is required
- Indoor and outdoor work with varying temperatures/condition
- Safety equipment required, including steel-toed work boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs (PPE provided (vision/hearing protection, hi-vis clothing)
- Be aware of hazards associated with the trade such as noisy environments, hazardous conditions, poor ventilation, small and/or enclosed spaces

**Schedule**

10 hours shifts

Day shift

Monday to Friday

Overtime

**Salary**: starts at $18.00/hour, overtime pay as applicable
