1 fulltime Wages Start at $19 an hour +4 an hour for the ECE Wage Enhancement 5 paid sick days 2 weeks of paid time off, 1 week during Christmas and 1 week during spring break. 4% vacation paid on each pay. Mt. Arrowsmith Childcare is looking for a dedicated Early Childhood Professional that has a passion for outdoor learning and knowledge of the BC early learning framework. Mt. Arrowsmith Childcare Provides quality childcare in Port Alberni. We have a team of qualified trained staff that have passion for the early learning profession. We believe that every child matters and that it takes a village to raise a child. We are dedicated to nurturing and caring for children while teaching and preparing them for kindergarten.We provide the children with a variety of fun, learning opportunities that promote and develop curiosity, social interactions and problem-solving skills based on the Early Learning Framework provided by the province of B.C. At Mt. Arrowsmith Childcare we are a licensed childcare centre and follow the Community Care and Assisted Living Act Childcare Licensing Regulations, to assure the number one priority is the children's wellbeing and safety. In childcare you must be a team player, "it takes a village to raise a child." We are ratio based, in an event that we are over staffed due to ration, staff will be asked if they want the day off or if they want to go home early, if the staff decided to stay at work, the manager will ask you to work in another program. QUALIFICATIONS - Early Childhood Education Certificate - First aid - Criminal record check - The position is permanent with a 6 month probationary period **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: From $19.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Paid time off Schedule: - Monday to Friday COVID-19 considerations: All Employees of Mt. Arrowsmith Childcare MUST be fully vaccinated for Covid-19. We also do require staff to wear a mask when reqired and to stay home when sick, to help prevent any sicknesses in our centre.
