Mt. Arrowsmith Childcare Ltd. is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team in beautiful Port Alberni, BC. We're looking for someone who loves working with children, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive space for early learning and development.

What We Offer:

  • Hourly Wage: $23/hour
  • ECE Wage Enhancement: Additional $6/hour through the BC Wage Enhancement Program
  • Benefits Package: Available after 6-month probation period
  • Paid Time Off:
  • 4% vacation pay
  • Additional 3 weeks paid vacation at seasonal closures
  • Paid sick days

Qualifications:

  • Valid Early Childhood Educator certification license to practice in British Columbia required
  • Valid First Aid certification
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • 2 Reference letters
  • Immunization records
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine love for working with children

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Support children's emotional, physical, and cognitive development
