**General Manager**
We are searching the market for a **General Manager**, reporting to the COO, you’ll be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation. You’ll spearhead the company values: Quality, Service, Innovation and Integrity; providing leadership that puts these values into practice every day. You’ll be responsible for delivering the highest quality products and service delivered to both external and internal customer(s). You’ll continue to drive innovation of products and services, to be the best in the marketplace and will do it all with integrity.
**Practically speaking, you will**:
- Execute a cohesive strategy for disciplined growth across the operation
- Execute approved competitive and profitable operational business strategies, taking into consideration the opportunities and risks of the business
- Execute business strategy by holding direct reports accountable
- Oversee and optimize business processes, including sales and marketing, manufacturing, material management, engineering, finance/accounting, information technology, and hiring of key individuals
- Understand environmental, social and governance needs and incorporate important pieces into the strategic initiatives, and regular communication
- Develop and execute high-growth financial plans, and report on actual performance against the forecasted plans
- Achieve significant P&L success as evidenced by measurable improvements in revenue, margin, cost efficiency, profitability, employee productivity, and compliance
- Develop compelling sales and marketing initiatives that communicate appropriately to both internal as well as external customers
- Collaborate and cross-sell with other divisions
- Acknowledge and value all divisions and departments, fostering noncompeting teamwork and a culture of “team before self” mantra amongst divisions
- Deliver all weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports in a timely manner, as required
- Accountable for the execution of promoting team building and motivating your team to achieve set objectives. Foster a productive working environment
- Create open communication lines between you and your team members, act on feedback appropriately in the best interest of the individual, team and business
- Promote, adhere and uphold Health & Safety standards at all times
- Financial oversite to accomplish agreed-upon Operating Target Goals
- Attendance at Corporation Events including but not limited to Board Meetings, Annual Shareholders Meetings, and Executive Planning Sessions, either by video conference or in person
- Nurture talent, and grow leaders for future roles and expansion
- Keen cultural awareness to meet or exceed the needs of the global nature of the business

**The Details**:
This is a full-time, permanent position working out of their Brantford office/facility. You will work Monday to Friday. They offer a competitive base salary, commensurate with experience, as well as dental care, health benefits, RRSP and paid vacation.
**Qualifications**
- 5+ years or more of proven success in an operations management role
- A mechanical or electrical engineering background is considered an asset
- Degree in a related field an asset
- 5+ years in General Management with P&L experience and responsibility is mandatory
- Track record of growth; demonstrated successful P&L track record in growing top and bottom line
- Industry experience: General management depth in related business grounded in commercial areas, including sales and marketing, coupled with solid understanding or a deep appreciation for a world-class manufacturing process. (Water industry preferred, but not required)
- Strong skills in budget development and oversight
- Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiations processes
- Proficient computer skills, especially Micros
