**Job Details**

**Position Title**:Professor, Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS)

**Status**: Full-Time Academic

**Hours**:Academic hours are determined by the SWF.

**Faculty/Department**:Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness

**Campus/Location**:North Campus

**Salary**: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees.

**Education**
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in a hearing related field (preference given to graduate degrees) is required.

**Experience & Skills**
- Registered Member of the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario and/or College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in their discipline.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably at the post-secondary level.
- Previous experience in curriculum development, coaching, working with mature adults, volunteer coordination, outcomes-based education, flexible learning, Blackboard, Banner, classroom management, and/or accommodation/human rights is an asset.
