**About this role**

We are recruiting for a **Lighting Specialist** to join our Electrical Projects team based in our **Burnaby** head office.

The **Lighting Specialist** will act as an internal lighting and lighting controls consultant, recommending products and systems that align with our standards for quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with lighting control systems, including design, integration, and troubleshooting.

**Your responsibilities**
- Design, coordination and re-design of lighting
- Review bills of materials to ensure all lighting and lighting controls are accurately covered in estimates and project scopes
- Resolve on-site issues and supplier bill of material conflicts related to lighting and lighting control
- Provide value engineering advice, negotiate prices with manufacturer's representatives, and wholesalers
- Liaise with lighting and lighting control systems, manufacturers, representatives, and consultants
- Compile lighting and lighting control system cut sheets for proposals
- Review lighting and lighting control system purchase orders and submittal packages

**Your experience and skills**
- 5+ years of experience working as a manufacturer's representative, lighting designer or lighting quotations specialist for a wholesaler
- Proven experience with lighting control systems (ex. DALI, etc.) including design, programming, and troubleshooting
- Experience providing lighting and lighting control system design assistance to consultants
- Familiarity and skill with lighting design software (ex. AGi 32, DIALux)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
- Education or certifications related to lighting design and lighting controls, strong assets

**Salary range**:$95,000 - $120,000** per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered. Let's chat throughout the hiring process and determine the best fit.
